Fall = Gardening, November

We have made it to November! I know the call of the holidays are ringing in your ears so yard work is not on the mind.

Here are some tips for November
  1. reduce watering on established plants, water accordingly for newly planted items
  2. prune dead limbs and dead flowers plus this is the time for heavy tree pruning
  3. fertilize with worm castings
  4. pest control: check roots of plants & if grass is loose on top easy to pull they might have grubs use the beneficial nematods and use biostimulants for regeneration. use organic pest control methods.
  5. plant trees, shrubs, perennials, bulbs like hyacinths, daffodils etc.
  6. mulch, mulch, mulch: put mulch around the base of plants, cover everything that needs protecting and helps retain water/nutrients. put all clippings except for weeds in your compost.
Enjoy the cooler days, time with family....there is always time to enjoy the outdoors!
Next we will get some quick tips for the winter months December, January and February.
