Cinco de Mayo

History of Cinco de Mayo is the celebration of the Mexican army's 1862 victory over France at the Battle of Puebla during the Franco-Mexican War.  What was once a minor holiday in Mexico has grown in the United States a huge party that includes heritage parades, mariachi music and festivals.

Start your own traditions with some recipes found on veg web to spice up the day.
