Red, White, Blue and Green!
Yes the 4th of July can be green too!
- buy local food and organic if at all possible nothing like increasing the local economy to be patriotic
- put out recycle bins at your bbq 1) for glass 1) for plastics 1) tin/metals 1) compost
- eco-friendly picnic ware: don't go for the plastic get biodegradable instead
- be greener at the grill: forgo the traditional start fluid, charcoal and/gas get wicked good charcoal, even Kingswood Charwood check out my post on "Grillin' time" for more options.
- try some vegetarian recipes and surprise them carnivores!
