I thought this fact was disgusting and left me a looming thought of how to change this waste!
The US produces enough trash to equal the weight of the Empire State Building. :-{
I am shocked since my household barely produces enough trash to set out at the curb for pickup once a month. I am considering even cancelling the trash except they pick up my recycling. It isn't hard to reduce your trash it takes time in the beginning put once you get used to recycling or composting or both it becomes second nature just like everything else you do on remote control.
