It is a huge waste for these metals to waste away in our landfills when they can be reused over and over again. With the demand for newer, better, greater and faster gadgets get these puppies recycled.
You can take your old phones back to your dealers they will help you move all your info to your new phone then help you recycle it or donate it.
I frequently go to Earth911 because they will help me find a recycling center close to my zip code. My phones I donate to domestic violence shelters for emergency phones for the women. Check with your local school they just might need your old pc's.
There never should be an appliance or electronic device thrown into the landfill. Everything can be stripped down and reused even that old coffee pot!
