I don't know about you but I think my utility company purposefully makes reading their statement annoying just so I would not question the cost. The best way you can begin saving and reducing your energy costs are knowing your consumption. You can monitor your entire house or your big appliances. Personally I want to know what my entire house is doing. Not just what the utility company says it is doing (yes I am a conspiracy theory person hahahaha).
You can't know what to change if you don't what it is to change!
As you can see there are a variety of products on the market. It all depends on what you want to achieve.
